Wayfarer Camp

Every year we put on Wayfarer Camp (which is currently only for 6-12th graders) on several weeks over the course of the summer, both on land and at the beach! There are many unique things about our camp experience, but one of the most important is the daily training time we set aside to invest in your adult leaders called Teach the Teacher. What really excites us about this time is that we can pour into your leaders so that when they return back home, you have even more effective leaders, giving you a real strong push into the fall.

  4. ok so i’m not answering the above questions..call me unconventional..:-) but i do have a story to tell. long long ago in grace church i walked in the doors fighting with God. A friend of mine won a trip to Jamaica and i was the lucky chick to go. Well of course i would go! I fought with God for weeks before the trip (ya know when you know your not supposed to do something but you rationalize it away through confusing yourself so you don’t’ have to make a decision) Anyway i walked in the doors at engage and on the screen during worship was Jesus hanging on the cross. As i sat there the Lord opened my eyes to see how stupid I was to be arguing with Him. How could i pretend that God is not God and that I know better than Him? That’s all arguing with Him is anyway. Thinking I know best..the good ole pride factor. So, I surrendered to His will called my guy and demolished my flesh and refused the trip and took the heat. Who knows what would have happened on that trip. I do, and I did then, but seeing Jesus for who He is at engage reminded me who comes first. and every time i try to convince myself “I don’t know what to do” I close my eyes see Jesus on the cross and realize that it’s very plain what He did and what i need to do.
