Many of you know the Brooks Family live in Tuscaloosa and are experiencing the devastation that yesterday brought. They are fine but the community they live in is in need. Many have called in today asking about them so we wanted to give the latest information we had.
Courtney from our staff talked with Audrey this morning and this is the latest update from the Brooks family –
” I spoke with Audrey this morning. They are safe, have power and internet, but have a hard time making outgoing calls. Chris is keeping people updated via twitter and FB. I think Audrey is just cooking and hosting college students as long as they can. A shopping complex about 1/2 mile from their house is gone, so the tornado came really close. As far as they can tell all of their college students are accounted for and Chris has a group volunteering today. Chris has said it’s just a mess a lot of work to do. Audrey said it feels like they are looking at pictures of Japan. But they’re safe.
So, keep praying for them, I told Audrey to let us know what we can do, but she said it’s going to take a few days to wrap their heads around it and make a plan. Praying for Chris and his team at Calvary for blessing and wisdom as they help and step into leadership. So thankful that the Brooks family is there and present in this storm.”
We’ll let you know more if we hear anything.
